1. Protect the body and interior from glass fragments.

2. Remove pieces of glass down to the adhesive sealant.

3. Disconnect the glass heating and antenna connectors.

4. Cover opening "2" around the perimeter with textile-backed adhesive tape.

5. Remove any remaining sealant from the opening (with glass remnants) using an electric cutter -VAG 1561 A- "1" and a U-shaped knife "VAG 1561".

Caution: Always wear safety glasses and leather gloves when working.
