Topping up the liquid in the reservoir of the windscreen washer system
20. Reservoir for wind and rear washer (where available) glass is located on the left side of the engine compartment.
21. Check the fluid level in the washer reservoir and top up if necessary. To top up, add Turtle Wax High Tech Screen Wash to the water in quantity. recommended on the bottle (photo). Clean water should ONLY be used in SUMMER, although it is best to mix it with a recommended type of water. In winter, use a mixture of water with methyl alcohol or a special anti-freeze liquid for washer. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for mixing ratios.
22. Never use strong detergents or antifreeze for the engine cooling system as a flushing fluid.
23. Check up reliability of fastening of wires of the pump and tubes of a washer. If any of the jets are blocked, clear it with a fine wire.
Washer jet adjustment
24. Check the operation of the windshield and rear window washers. Adjust the jets so that the water jet hits just above the center of the wiper area.
Checking and replacing the wiper blades
25. Check the condition of the wiper blades; if they are cracked, dirty, or smudge the glass, replace them. To maintain maximum cleaning efficiency, the brushes should be replaced annually after each removal.
26. To remove the wiper blade, move the lever away from the glass. Rotate the brush 90°, press the locking tab with your fingernail and separate the brush from the bent end of the lever (photo). When installing, make sure that the brush is securely fastened to the arm.
