The third brake light on Skoda Octavia cars is installed as special equipment of the car. Light (homologous designation S 3) has a black plastic housing made of two parts, put on two plastic holders, glued to the upper part of the glass of the luggage compartment lid. Profile spraying of black ceramic mass on the glass hides the fastening when viewed from the outside. The extension of the casing adjoins the glass of the window in such a way as not to let flashes of red light into the cabin of the car. Red glass is installed in the lamp. From the side of the cabin, a lamp holder is extended into the reinforced part of the lamp. It contains five baseless 5 W bulbs. The bulb holders are connected to a two-pole connector for connection to the electrical wiring of the car. The lamp holder is put on an elastic plastic spike of the non-removable part of the lamp.
