Fitting the roof side trim
1 - overlay assembly; 2 - clamps; 3 - rear tip; 4 - front tip; 5 - covers; 6 - lining ending; 7 - roof rack holder; 8 - nut; 9 - gasket; 10 - seal
At the junction of the forgings of the roof, body sidewalls and the inner frame of the sides, a groove is formed, in which the points of connection of the said sheets are located. In the groove, nine steel pins are also welded perpendicular to the bottom of the groove for stuffing plastic clips put on the lining. Cover made of plastic (PVC) and has an aluminum sheet reinforcement inside.
The pads are different in shape for the right and left sides. To fill the lining in front and behind, put on tips are used, which also differ in shape. Each lining has two rectangular holes, under which the holders are each screwed with two nuts to the groove from the cabin space. The bolts are sealed with rubber pads. Rectangular holes are covered with plastic caps. Holders (fasteners underneath) serve to attach the trunk. For this, it has tongs that snap onto the beveled surfaces of the fastener. When installing the roof rack, the rectangular covers must be removed.
