Front and rear seats — general information (Skoda Octavia 1U)
The seat frames of the Skoda Octavia cars are unified with some others used in other types of cars of the VW concern. Likewise, the design and technological solution of the upholstery is borrowed from the VW concern. In accordance with the modification of the car, the seats have different combinations of equipment and different upholstery fabric. All seats are covered with textile. The front and rear seats are equipped with headrests that are adjusted by height. In addition, the headrests of the front seats can also be deflected. They can be removed after removing the fuse. The seat frames are welded from steel volume-stamped sheets and steel rods. Cushion inserts are cast from foamed polyurethane. The textile upholstery at the points of attachment to the frame is bent over a plastic upholstery strip and after compression of the cushion insert is inserted into the holder in the frame.
