Front seat headrest and its mounting with height adjustment option

The front seats in all versions can be moved within 14 positions with a total length of 244 mm. The shift arrester is achieved by a handle located under the seat. The handle is connected to the arrester by a flexible cable. The pad with the arrester is firmly screwed to the bracket on the floor with two M8 bolts. In the rear part of the seat base frame there are brackets with horizontally oriented holes into which a pin is inserted, centered by a rubber prism in these brackets. The pin has a plastic roller and a small shoulder with an auxiliary wheel limiting the pressure of the roller to the guides. The guide into which the roller is inserted and from which it comes out is welded to the floor of the body.
The front seats of all versions can smoothly change the backrest tilt up to the lying position. The tilting mechanism is located on both sides of the backrest and is connected to each other by a tube. It has a toothed wheel and is controlled by a handle, which is always located on the door side. When tilting the backrest to the lying position, you must first remove the headrest. The tilting mechanism cannot be disassembled.
As already mentioned, the front seats can be of different designs. The driver's seat can be adjusted in height in all vehicle modifications. A height-adjustable passenger seat is supplied as standard only in SLX vehicles. For GLX vehicles, a height-adjustable passenger seat can be ordered as special equipment.
The height adjustment is performed using an auxiliary frame, on which the sliding elements and devices for controlling them are located. This frame is connected to the main consoles of unequal length. The parallelogram arranged in this way sets the seat to different heights and simultaneously changes the tilt of the seat base. The height adjustment mechanism is controlled by a lever; when it is deflected downwards from the main position, the seat base is lowered, and when it is deflected upwards, it is gradually raised. The control lever is located on the seat base frame from the door side. Very strong springs are used to suspend the seat base frame to the auxiliary frame to balance the weight of the occupant. In the seat backs of LX and GLX models, a wire mesh is located in a steel frame, hung for springing on short, tight springs. A polyurethane insert is placed on it.
The SLX seatbacks feature standard (for GLX vehicles this is a special equipment) a device that allows the backrest to bulge in the lumbar region, thereby comfortably and at the rider's discretion supporting his back. The device is an elastic plastic element that replaces the elastic wire mesh. In the lower third at the back, it has a hinge with an extendable lever. With the help of a flexible cable, the fixed end of the lever rises and thereby bulges the hinge on the lumbar part of the backrest. This device significantly improves comfort. Another element that increases the comfort of the driver and passenger is the heated front seats. They can be ordered as special equipment for GLX and SLX models. The heating element - a carbon mesh inserted into cotton fabric - is located under the textile upholstery at the base of the seat and the backrest.
The connectors for connection to the vehicle's electrical system are located on the front seat frames. The insert's heating power is regulated by a rotary rheostat. The device has a fuse and a thermostat that maintains the temperature within specified limits.
Apart from the control elements, all mechanisms are covered with plastic casings.
