Rear seat head restraints and their mounting with height adjustment

The rear seats are available in two versions. In LX models, the base and backrest of the rear seat are one piece. In GLX and SLX models, they are split in a 2:3 ratio. Since the base of the rear seat rests on the floor of the vehicle, there is no need for an overly strong frame. It is made of a steel rod with a polyurethane cushion insert. The upholstery material of the rear seats is always the same as on the front seats and corresponds to the vehicle version. The base of the rear seat is secured in holders on the floor, but it can be raised to a vertical position - with the back facing up towards the front seats - and can also be easily removed from the holders and pulled out of the vehicle. The separate bases have similar, of course, separate fastenings to the floor. The backrest or backrests of the rear seat have strong frames made of stamped steel. Each frame contains a cushion insert covered with material. By moving the bases, the backrests can be folded forward, thus extending the rear floor.
At the bottom, the backrests are snapped into holders on the outer sides. If the backrests are separate, they are put on a horizontal pin at the point of separation. The lower fastening can be disassembled only using special devices. At the top, the backrests are snapped into a notch in the body with a spring-loaded hook. The hook can be raised with a vertical rod. At the same time, it functions as a safety device that prevents the backrests from tilting under the action of luggage that is not secured in the luggage compartment behind the seats.
