Load regulator
A - layout;
B - location and connection
In vehicles not equipped with ABS (or ABS/EDS), the rear axle brakes are actuated by a device called a load regulator. The load regulator is fixed on the body and forms the flow of brake fluid and its pressure when the lever is deflected, connected by a spring to the rear axle. The regulator cannot be repaired and in the event of a malfunction it must be replaced as a whole, of course with the same brand and the same type. For its initial adjustment, a special tool is required.
Examination
1. Approximately the operation of the load regulator can be checked as follows: strongly press the pedal with your foot and when it is quickly removed, the regulator lever should move.
2. During the test, the vehicle must be on wheels.
3. In a qualified test of the load regulator, the pressure is measured before and after it.
