Removal and installation the hood actuator (Skoda Octavia 5E)

Remove the non-activated activator.

Warning! Observe general safety rules when handling pyrotechnic modules of airbags, seat belt pretensioners and battery disconnect device.

Disconnect the battery terminals. Remove the hood seal. Bend back the water drain box casing (without taking it off) and disconnect the activator connector. Unscrew nuts "2" (9 Nm). Remove activator "1" from the hood hinge. Unfasten and disconnect the activator cable.

Installation

Installation in reverse order. Connect the battery terminals. Tightening torque of nut "2" (9 Nm).
