Removal and installation the glass cover of the sliding sunroof (Skoda Octavia 5E)

Open the glass cover slightly by sliding it back approximately 150 mm.



Remove the left and right "arrow" screws from the back of the glass cover.

Be careful! Something (with a rag, paper, etc.), cover the gap between the A-pillar and the hatch frame so that the screws do not fall into it.

Unscrew the front screws "arrow" securing the glass cover on both sides.



Just loosen the screws in the center of the glass cover "arrow".





Using two people, remove the glass cover from the rocker mechanism guide.

Note: Always move the rocker mechanism to the "Sunroof closed" position to avoid damage after removing the glass cover.

Moving the rocker mechanism "1" to the "Hatch closed" position.

Installation

Open the rocker mechanism guide approximately 150 mm back. Together, install the glass cover into the rocker mechanism guide.





Position the glass cover frame so that the "arrow" notches are located above the loosened screws.

Note: Observe the sequence of screw installation.

First tighten the rear screws, then the front screws and finally the central screws. Close the hatch and check the position of the cover. If necessary, open and adjust the glass cover. Tighten the screws to the specified tightening torque.
