Power sunroof control switch

1 – switch handle; 2 – interior ceiling upholstery; I, II, III and IV – positions of the switch handle

The electric sunroof control switch handle 1 is located on the headliner.

The electric drive operates when the ignition is on. However, it can also be used after the ignition is turned off for approximately 10 minutes, provided that no front doors are opened during this time.

The symbols on the switch scale indicate:
  • I - the hatch is completely closed;
  • III - the hatch is fully open;
  • IV - the hatch is fully raised.

The handle can occupy an intermediate position between the symbols I and III, as well as I and IV. The larger dot II on the scale indicates the sunroof position at which the noise generated by air flowing around the sunroof is minimal in the vehicle's interior at high speeds.

The hatch control system is equipped with a lock that stops the hatch from closing if an obstacle is encountered in its path. If any obstacle prevents the hatch from closing, it will stop and open again. To close the hatch without blocking (in an extreme situation), press the front part of the handle set to position I.

When the battery is disconnected, it may happen that the hatch is not completely closed. Therefore, to reset the control system, with the ignition on, press the front part of the switch handle set to position I for at least 3 seconds – the hatch will close completely.

When the sunroof is opened, the sun visor also moves. If necessary, it can be closed manually in any position of the hatch.

The hatch can be closed when the doors are locked with the key. To do this, turn the key in the lock and hold it in this position until the hatch closes. When you release the key, the hatch will stop immediately.

Emergency hatch control

If the electric drive fails, the hatch can be closed manually.

If the electric drive fails, the hatch can be…

1. Using a screwdriver, carefully pry up the cover 1 of the sunroof control mechanism 2 on the headliner and open the cover (3 – handle).

2. Remove handle 3 from the holder and insert it into the mechanism hole until it stops.

3. Turn handle 3 in the appropriate direction to open or close the hatch.

(Information published on the website: www.skodabook.ru)

4. Place handle 3 back into the holder and close cover 1.

5. To reset the control system, with the ignition on, press the front part of the handle 1 for at least 3 seconds (see figure Power Sunroof Control Switch) switch set to position I – the hatch will close completely.
