2. Screw: Tightening torque: 1.5 Nm.
Note: Disconnect the battery ground wire.
Driver's side airbag assembly. Remove the steering wheel. Remove the steering column trim. Remove the instrument cluster. Remove the steering column switch assembly; steering column switch. Remove the light switch. Disconnect the headlight corrector potentiometer connector. Remove the hazard warning light switch and the airbag off indicator light. Remove the head unit or navigator (depending on the configuration). For cars without a radio and navigator, remove the storage compartment in the center of the front panel.
Manual air conditioner
Remove the heater control panel.
Automatic air conditioner
Remove the air conditioner control and indicator unit together with the ECU. Remove the solar radiation photo sensor.
Further for all cars
Remove the center console.
Remove the lower cover "1" along the "arrow A" and disconnect the connectors of the USB socket and the socket for connecting external audio devices.
Remove the side trims of the front panel -1 and 2- using, for example, the dismantling wedge "3409". Remove the upper part of the A-pillar trim. Remove the glove compartment bracket on the front passenger side.
Unscrew screw "1" (1.5 Nm).
Unscrew screw "1" (1.5 Nm).
Remove screws "1" (1.5 Nm).
Unscrew screw "1" (1.5 Nm).
Remove screw "1" (1.5 Nm). Disconnect the front passenger airbag module connector.
