To open the main glove box, press its button (see illustration 12.7a). When the glove box is open and the side lights are on, the glove box light comes on. To close, pull the lid up and press it until it locks into place. The main glove box has a pencil holder. On some models, the glove box is equipped with a closable cool air outlet (from the climate system). The supply of cooled air is turned on by pulling the handle (see illustration 12.7b). If the air supply is open and the refrigeration unit is turned on, cooled air enters the glove box. If the air inlet is open and the refrigeration unit is turned off, then outside or interior air enters the box. If the air conditioning system is in heating mode or if cooling is not required for the glove compartment, it is recommended to close the air supply to it.
Attention: Do not keep the glove box open while driving, because. in the event of an accident, loose objects in it can cause additional injury.
