For vehicles with front wheel drive
The fuel tank must be filled no more than 3/4 full. Remove rear seat. Release cover -1- of connecting flange from retainer using wedge -3409- -arrows-. Disconnect connector -1- from fuel pump.
Vehicles with auxiliary heater
Unplug connector -2- for auxiliary heater metering pump.

Attention! Risk of injury from high pressure fuel. To relieve pressure in the fuel system, cover the connector area with a clean rag and carefully loosen the connection.
Detach fuel line -1- at connecting flange.
Vehicles with auxiliary heater
Open clamps and detach fuel line -2- from auxiliary heater metering pump from flange.

Unscrew the round nut using the wrench -T30101 (3087) -. Carefully pull connecting flange -2- out of fuel tank opening.
Remove gasket -1- from opening in fuel tank.
Note: Remove the fuel delivery unit from the fuel tank as follows. so as not to damage the electrical wires and fuel hoses and not to bend the float lever of the fuel gauge sender -G-.
Remove the fuel delivery module through the fuel tank opening.
Installation
Install a new dry O-ring in the fuel tank opening and, before installing the connecting flange, lightly lubricate only the inside with fuel. When installing the fuel delivery unit, take care not to bend the float lever of the fuel gauge sender -G-.
Carefully! Danger of insufficient sealing. When installing the connecting flange, the gasket must not be damaged or pinched.
Press the connecting flange against the spring force and place it in the mounting position. The coupling -2- of the connecting flange must point towards the hole -arrow- of the round nut and be positioned between the tabs -3 and 4- on the fuel tank.
Install the round nut and tighten it with the wrench -T30101 (3087) -. Connect fuel lines.
Vehicles with auxiliary heater
If the fuel supply module is to be replaced, it is necessary to disconnect the cover -7- of the connection -6- at the marked separation point and pass the tube -3- into the cavity -4- until it comes into contact with the reinforcement of the connection -6-. Fit bushing -2- and secure with clamp -1-.
Note: Switch on the auxiliary heater and let it run at full load for at least 10 minutes to ensure complete bleeding of the fuel lines.

Installation in reverse order. After installing the fuel delivery module, add at least 5 liters of fuel.
