Disconnecting and connecting the gas pedal module connector (Skoda Octavia 5E)

Note: The accelerator pedal module uses connectors that can be disconnected and connected in different ways.

Disconnecting connector 1KQ 973 706

Lightly press the slider "A" (gray) in the "direction of arrow 1" and move it to the stop in the "direction of arrow 2". Holding the slider in this position, disconnect the connector housing "B" upwards in the "direction of arrow 3". Slider "A" remains in the lower position.

Connecting connector 1K0 973 706

Push the connector housing "B" down in the "direction of the arrow" until it is clearly locked. The slider "A" automatically moves to the upper position. Check the reliability of the connector locking by pulling it in the opposite direction.

Disconnecting connector 8K0 973 706

Pull out the slider "A" (red color) upwards until it stops in the direction of "arrow 1". Press the slider in the direction of "arrow 2" and disconnect the connector housing "B" by pulling it upwards in the direction of "arrow 3".

Slider "A" remains in the upper position.

Connecting the 8K0 973 706 connector

Slide the connector housing "B" down as far as it will go in the "direction of arrow 1". Lightly press the slider in the "direction of arrow 2" and slide it down in the "direction of arrow 3". The slider "A" can only be moved down if the connector housing has been pushed down as far as it will go. Check the reliability of the connector fixation by pulling it in the opposite direction.
