Note: "7-speed dual clutch transmission 0CW" filled with long-term oil (fluids are designed for long service life). For this reason, there is no need to check the oil level; a plug of the threaded hole for checking the level is not provided on this gearbox. Follow the general repair instructions.
If the gearbox is leaky or the mechatronics is faulty, find and fix the faults. Then completely drain the oil from the gearbox and fill it with new oil.
Draining transmission oil
Raise the car. Place a tray to collect the oil under the gearbox. Unscrew the threaded plug of the oil drain hole "see arrow" on the gearbox.
Let the oil drain.

Note: When replacing the mechatronic unit, the remaining oil in the gearbox must be pumped out after removing the mechatronic unit using a device for bleeding air from the fuel system of a diesel engine, e.g. "WS 5226".
Install the oil drain plug.
Filling transmission oil
New oil is poured through the ventilation hole.
Note: If the gearbox is installed, depending on the model and engine variant, the air filter or the battery with the battery bracket must be removed to fill with oil. When disconnecting and connecting the battery ground wire, additional work must be performed.
Remove the air filter. Remove the battery and battery bracket.
Remove the breather from the ventilation hole.
Install the adapter "VAS 6262A" and the adapter "VAS 6262/4".
Before screwing the adapter for filling oil "VAS 6262A" onto the container with oil, measure the length of the air bleed tube, size "a", and, if necessary, cut the tube to size "a": 210 mm.
Hint: Measure dimension "a" on the rod (starting from the green surface in the enlarged image) adapter for filling oil "VAS 6262A".
Screw the oil container onto the "VAS 6262 A" adapter.
Note: If the thread on the oil container does not fit the adapter "VAS 6262 A", another adapter must be used "VAS 6262/6".
Note: Use only oil for "7-speed DSG - 0CW" for filling. Shake the oil container before opening. The oil level cannot be checked. To fill the gearbox correctly, it is necessary to pour in a strictly specified amount of oil. Overfilling, as well as underfilling, negatively affects the functioning of the gearbox.
Fill in the specified amount of oil.
Filling quantities
After refueling, remove the adapter from the gearbox.
Note: Clean the area around the vent with a rag.
Install the breather. Install the battery bracket and battery. Install the air filter.
