Carefully! Risk of damage to mechatronics for dual clutch gearbox -J743-. When adjusting, do not press on the sensor actuator.
Set all 4 gear selectors on the rear side of the DSG mechatronics -J743- to the desired position. Target position: -a- = 25 mm.
Note: Clean the seating surfaces on the mechatronics that come into contact with the gearbox housing. Traces of oil on the sealing surface subsequently lead to "leaks" when diagnosing. The seal around the seating surface of the mechatronics of the DSG gearbox -3743- must be inserted into the groove.
Check gearbox primary torque sender -G182-. The clamp must not be damaged.
Carefully! Risk of damage to friction clutches. When handling and installing the mechatronics, make sure that the gear selector forks are not pushed out of their places. Also keep an eye on the switching lever and the pusher of the mechatronics. If the release lever presses hard on the mechatronic pusher and moves it, the automatic clutch adjustment mechanism is activated. Automatic clutch adjustment cannot be disabled.
Install mechatronics. Tighten new screws -A- (3 pieces, M8 x 35) and -B- (2 pieces, M8 x 90) by hand crosswise. Remove guide pins -T10406-. Screw in the rest of the new screws -B- by hand (2 pieces, M8 x 90). Tighten all mechatronics screws for dual-clutch gearbox -J743- with the prescribed tightening torque in a cross pattern.
Make sure that the tappet engages exactly in the engagement lever bearing. Pull out the pusher by hand so that it enters the bearing. Now once again check the position of the pushers.
Note: Incorrectly installed tappets can damage the mechatronics. In order for the pushers to get into the correct position, suitable hooks can be made from wire.
Rotate pry bar -T10407- "slowly and carefully" right and pull out.
Both clutch adjusters must engage correctly in the groove of the clutch lever. In doing so, do not damage the rubber bushings of the clutch adjuster. The rubber bushings must be in contact with the mechatronics. Incorrect installation or damaged rubber bushings lead to oil leakage from the mechatronics. Fit speed sender at gearbox inlet -G182- in -direction of arrow- onto gearbox housing.
Note: Check sensor. The clamp must not be damaged. The sensor with its tongue must lie completely and tightly on the gearbox housing. If the sensor "hanging out", the clip is damaged. Replace mechatronic.
Remove the plug from the vent hole and install the breather. Install the dirt screen onto the switch lever. Fastening screw tightening torque: 8 Nm.
Carefully! Never touch the plug-in contacts in the gearbox connector with your hands, so that a static discharge does not damage the control unit and mechatronics.
Touch your hand (without gloves) to ground to remove the electrostatic charge. Connect the mechatronics plug and lock.
Reinstall all holders and wires on the mechatronics. Install fan shroud. Install charge air hose. Install the lower engine soundproofing cover. Fill with transmission oil. Check the adjustment of the selector lever cable; adjust if necessary. Install the battery and battery bracket. Install the air filter. When disconnecting and connecting the battery cable to ground, additional work must be performed. Connect battery. After installing the mechatronics, the -Basic setting- must be carried out.
