Removal and installation the front seat side covers (seat with height adjuster) (Skoda Rapid NH1)

Removal

1. Remove the front seat assembly (for more details, see the relevant section in this chapter).

2. Unscrew the fastening screw (1) shown in the figure below. Tightening torque when installing the fastening screw: 1 Nm.

3. Remove the cover (5) from the seat back angle adjustment lever assembly (6) as shown in the figure below.

4. Remove the seatback angle adjustment lever assembly (6) as shown in the figure below.

Note: The seat back angle adjustment lever cannot be removed from the drive mechanism shaft without damage.

5. Lift the regulator handle (2) and press the metal tab of the locking clamp (3) inwards using a suitable screwdriver, as shown in the figure below. Lower the regulator lever down (4).

Note: For clarity, the clamp in the figure below is shown in the unlocked position.

6. Remove the retaining clip (3) from the adjusting lever (4) as shown in the figure below.



7. Open the lower fastener of the side cover of the front seat (2), then press on the support.

8. Detach the front seat side cover (2) from the seat frame (1) as shown in the figure below.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Note: Before installation, check the integrity of all fastening elements. If necessary, replace damaged fastening elements with new ones.
