Removal and installation the starter (Skoda Kodiaq NS7)

Removal

1. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.

2. Remove the soundproofing coating.

3. Remove the air filter housing above the front of the battery (for more details, see the relevant section in the chapter "Intake and exhaust system").

4. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) shown in the figure below.

5. Remove the cover (2).

6. Loosen the fastening nut (3) and disconnect the lead from the 30/B+ terminal, as shown in the figure below.



7. Loosen the fastening nut (1) of the upper part of the starter (B), as shown in the figure below.

8. Disconnect and remove the ground wire (2).



9. Loosen the fastening nut (4) and remove the retainer (1) of the electrical harness, as shown in the figure below.



10. Unscrew the mounting bolts (2) and (5) from the starter (3).

11. Remove the starter (3) assembly downwards.

Installation

1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
