The car is equipped with the now familiar umbrellas in the doors, wireless charging for smartphones, and a power-operated tailgate that can be opened by moving your foot under the bumper. LED headlights, a heated steering wheel – in short, all the delights of the modern automotive industry. Another, perhaps minor, but very useful detail is the protective plastic petals that extend when the door is opened, protecting the edges from impacts and abrasions. The Skoda Kodiaq is supplied to the Russian market with 1.4 TSI and 2.0 TSI petrol engines, as well as a 2.0 TDI diesel engine.

The Czech company has tried to create a sufficiently high level of comfort in the Kodiaq. Thus, the front part of the cabin is finished with expensive soft plastic, including the central handrails. The middle part of the crossover's interior is very spacious. The front seats have pronounced lateral support, but at the same time drivers of different builds will feel comfortable in them. Passengers in the second row of seats also have a fair amount of space.

The Ambition Plus trim level features fog lights, LED headlights, an adjustable steering column, heated power outside mirrors, a heated steering wheel and windshield, and dual-zone climate control. The top-of-the-line Style Plus trim level adds a power driver's seat, three-zone climate control, Alcantara trim, and a host of other features that elevate the Kodiaq to the premium segment. An off-road version of the Skoda Kodiaq, traditionally called the Scout, is also available. It features 19-inch wheels, silver bumper trims, and silver trim on the grille, side window frames, roof rails, and mirror caps.

Currently, the Skoda Kodiaq is available with 1.4-liter (150 hp, 250 Nm) and 2.0-liter (180 hp, 320 Nm) turbocharged petrol engines, as well as a 2.0-liter turbodiesel (150 hp, 340 Nm). All modifications come with all-wheel drive and a DSG pre-selective robotic gearbox (6-speed for 1.4 TSI and 7-speed for the rest).

The Skoda Kodiaq's chassis is typical for cars in its class: MacPherson struts up front and a multi-link setup in the rear. The car also has ventilated front brake discs. The steering mechanism has a variable gear ratio. The crossover's dimensions are 4,697 mm, width 1,822 mm, and height 1,665 mm. The wheelbase is 2,791 mm. Ground clearance is 188 mm. In the Scout version, it is increased to 194 mm; additionally, there's a robust metal underbody guard that covers the transmission components, fuel and brake lines, and cables. The Kodiaq can tow a trailer weighing between 1,600 and 2,500 kg, depending on the model, and its payload capacity is approximately 750 kg. The all-wheel drive system is a classic VAG system—an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch. The luggage compartment volume with two rows of seats is 635 liters, with the third row this figure decreases to 270 liters, but with both rear rows folded down, the volume is 1980 liters.
The Skoda Kodiaq already comes standard with front and side airbags, curtain airbags, child seat anchors, ABS+EBD braking system, stability control and hill start assist. Depending on the trim level, the Kodiaq is equipped with front and rear parking sensors or an automatic parking system, and a driver's knee airbag. A set of auxiliary electronics includes the trailer towing assistant Trailer Assist, the Front Assist distance control system with City Emergency Brake, adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Blind Spot Detect and Rear Traffic Alert assistants. The car was awarded 5 stars by EuroNCAP.
