Combined inlet air temperature and pressure sensor (inlet manifold mounting)
1 - pressure sensor unit; 2 – incoming air temperature sensor; 3 – inlet manifold; 4 – incoming air
The combined sensor is installed directly on the intake manifold, and the sensor elements are located in it. Both signals are sent to the control unit and form the initial information for calculating the amount of air sucked in. Based on this information and information from the Hall sensor, the injection duration and ignition timing are then calculated.
In the absence of information from the combined sensor (pressure, temperature) The control unit calculates the injection duration and ignition timing based on the signal from the throttle valve potentiometer; instead of the missing temperature information, the UU substitutes 45°C. Diagnostics monitors both output signals.
