Combined intake air temperature and pressure sensor (inlet pipe mounting)
1 - pressure sensor assembly; 2 – incoming air temperature sensor; 3 - inlet pipeline; 4 - incoming air
The combined sensor is mounted directly on the intake manifold and the sensor elements are located in it. Both signals enter the control unit and constitute the initial information for calculating the amount of air drawn in. Based on this information and information from the Hall sensor, the duration of injection and the ignition timing are then calculated.
In the absence of information from the combined sensor (pressure, temperature) The control unit calculates the duration of injection, and the ignition timing from the signal from the throttle potentiometer; instead of the missing information about the temperature, the CU substitutes 45°C. The diagnostic monitors both outputs.
