Shifting gearboxes 01M with manual shifting (Skoda Octavia 1U)
Gear shifting is performed by the usual movements of the gear shift lever, located on the middle side member of the body. The gear shift device is of two types. In the 02K gearbox, the transmission of motion and force between the gear shift console and the gear shift device is performed by a rod. In the 02J gearbox, the transmission between the gear shift console and the gearbox is performed by two flexible rods-cables in flexible hoses. In both versions, the pattern of movements of the gear shift lever when selecting and shifting gears is the same. In the forward direction, the speeds Z–1–3–5 are engaged (when turning on Z, you need to press the gearshift lever down), in the reverse direction, speeds 2–4 are engaged.
