Gear shifting is performed by the usual movements of the shift lever located on the middle side member of the body. The switching device is of two types. In the 02K gearbox, the transmission of movement and power between the shift console and the gearbox shifter is carried out by a link. In the 02J gearbox, the transmission between the shift console and the gearbox is carried out by two flexible cable rods in flexible hoses. In both versions, the pattern of movements of the shift lever when selecting and switching speeds is the same. In the forward direction, speeds Z–1–3–5 are switched on (when you turn on Z, you need to push the shift lever down), in the reverse direction, speeds 2-4 are activated.
