Removal and installation of sound insulation and roof reinforcements (Skoda Octavia 5E)

Remove the ceiling panel. Cut the sound insulation and roof reinforcements -1 and 2- with a carpet knife into strips approx. 9 cm wide (pos. 3) -(hatching)-. Remove strips "3" from the roof. Cut off the remaining adhesive "4".

Installation

Note: When installing soundproofing material/roof reinforcement elements, follow the instructions for working with the adhesive.

Using a hand gun, apply adhesive -D 190 MKD AZ- to the sound insulation and roof reinforcements "1" at the front and rear "2". Apply adhesive with rollers of the following dimensions: size a = 33 mm ±2 mm; size b = 25 mm + 2 mm; size c = 92 mm + 2 mm. Press the sound insulation and roof reinforcements -1 and 2- with their entire surface to the roof.
