Power sliding roof control switch

1 – switch handle; 2 – interior ceiling…

1 – switch handle; 2 – interior ceiling upholstery; I, II and III – positions of the switch handle

The control switch handle 1 for the electric sliding roof is located on the headliner.

The electric drive operates when the ignition is on. However, it can also be used after the ignition is turned off for approximately 10 minutes, provided that no front doors are opened during this time.

Warning! Careless closing of the roof may result in injury.

Warning! At speeds above 160 km/h do not open or close the roof; this may cause damage.

The symbols on the switch scale indicate:
  • I - the roof is completely closed;
  • III - the roof is completely open.

Between symbols I and III the handle may occupy an intermediate position. With the roof rack installed, set the handle only to position II, marked with a larger dot on the scale. If opened further, the roof can be damaged by the trunk.

If the battery is disconnected, the roof may not close completely. Therefore, to reset the control system, with the ignition on, press the front part of the switch handle set to position I for at least 5 seconds – the roof will close completely.

The roof can be closed when the doors are locked with a key. To do this, turn the key in the lock and hold it in this position until the roof closes. When you release the key, the roof will stop instantly.

Emergency roof control

If the electric drive fails, the roof can be closed manually.

If the electric drive fails, the roof can be…

1. Using a screwdriver, carefully pry up the cover 1 of the roof control mechanism 2 on the headliner and fold it back (3 – handle).

2. Remove handle 3 from the holder and insert it into the hole in mechanism 2 until it stops.

3. Turn handle 3 in the appropriate direction to open or close the roof.

4. Place handle 3 back into the holder and close cover 1.

5. To reset the control system, with the ignition on, press the front part of the handle 1 for at least 5 seconds (see figure Power sliding roof control switch) switch set to position I, the hatch will close completely.

6. With increased resistance to roof movement (snow penetration, freezing, etc.) the roof can be controlled by pressing the front or rear part of the handle 1 switch. In this case, the roof starts moving 1 second after pressing the handle.
