Caution! Before removing, clean the thread area around the fuel pressure sensor "G247" with lubricant solvent (dirt must not be allowed to enter the fuel rail opening). Work carefully - do not allow the solvent to come into contact with the electrical connector.
Dry the fuel pressure sensor "G247". Disconnect connector "2". Unscrew the fuel pressure sensor "G247" using a socket attachment, 27 mm "T40218". Pump out dirt from the pressure accumulator hole (clean the threads and sealing surface). Do not use mechanical tools for this purpose.
Note: To prevent dirt from entering, immediately close the opening of the pressure accumulator with a suitable plug.

Installation
Note: Inspect seal contact surfaces (crumpled edge) and the threads of the new fuel pressure sensor "G247" for damage. It is possible to reuse the fuel pressure sensor "G247". Also check the mating surfaces in the hole of the fuel rail. Wet the threaded part and the crushed edge of the fuel pressure sensor "G247" with diesel fuel.
Tighten the fuel pressure sensor "G247" by hand. Tighten the sensor: Fill the fuel system with fuel/bleed air from the fuel system.
