Attention! Before removing, clean threaded area around fuel pressure sender -G247- with lubricant solvent (ingress of dirt into the hole of the fuel rail is unacceptable). Work carefully - do not allow solvent to get on the electrical connector.
Dry fuel pressure sender -G247-. Disconnect connector -2-. Unscrew fuel pressure sender -G247- using socket, 27 mm -T40218-. Pump out impurities from the opening of the pressure accumulator (clean thread and sealing surface). Do not use mechanical tools for this.
Note: To avoid the ingress of dirt, immediately close the opening of the pressure accumulator with a suitable plug.
Installation
Note: Inspect seal contact surfaces (crumpled piping) and threads of new fuel pressure sender -G247- for damage. The fuel pressure sender -G247- can be reused. Also check the mating surfaces in the opening of the fuel rail. Moisten the threaded part and the crushing lip of the fuel pressure sender -G247- with diesel fuel.
Tighten fuel pressure sender -G247- hand-tight. Tighten the sensor: Fill the fuel system with fuel/bleed air from the fuel system.
