Removal and installation the high pressure fuel pump (Skoda Octavia 5E)

Remove the toothed belt from the camshaft. Remove the high-pressure pipes between the fuel rail and the high-pressure fuel pump. Install the stop "T10051" on the high-pressure fuel pump toothed pulley. Tighten the nut "arrow" by hand. Pull out the lock "T10492" and carefully turn the high-pressure fuel pump shaft to the relaxed position. Unscrew the nut "arrow" and remove the stop "T10051". Remove the high-pressure fuel pump toothed pulley.



Rotate the puller "T10489" clockwise, hook it onto the fuel injection pump hub. Remove the fuel injection pump hub.



Remove the return fuel line hose "2". Disconnect connector -1. Unscrew the screws "arrows". Carefully remove the high-pressure fuel pump.

Installation

Installation in reverse order. Install the "arrow" hub on the injection pump shaft. The seat spring on the injection pump shaft must enter the groove of the hub.





Place the fuel injection pump toothed pulley on the hub. There should be no oil on the contact surfaces of the stop and the toothed pulley.

Screw the "arrow" nut onto the fuel injection pump shaft thread. Place the stop on the toothed pulley and tighten the "arrow" nut by hand. Rotate the fuel injection pump toothed pulley using the "T10051" stop until the "T10492" lock can lock it. To do this, insert the "T10492" lock into the "2" fork of the hub and into the "1" hole in the bracket of the attachments located behind it. Unscrew the "arrow" nut again. The fuel injection pump toothed pulley should be tightened enough to still be able to turn it, but so that it no longer wobbles. Install the toothed belt. Install the high-pressure fuel line. After replacement, reset the adaptation values in "Guided Functions".
