Important! Lane Assist is an assistance system that does not relieve the driver of the responsibility to fully control the vehicle. By means of a corrective steering wheel turn, Lane Assist merely draws the driver's attention to the fact that the vehicle is approaching a lane boundary line. Lane Assist helps the driver to stay in his own lane, but it does not take over the steering function of the vehicle. The driver is always responsible for steering the vehicle. The camera may not detect all lane boundary lines: A corrective steering impulse is only given when the vehicle approaches a detected lane boundary line. Some objects on the road may be incorrectly detected as lane boundary lines. This may result in an incorrect corrective impulse. The performance of the assistant in adaptive lane control may be limited, for example, when driving in a rut, on a slope or in a crosswind. Do not use the lane departure assist in poor weather conditions, such as icy roads, fog, heavy rain, as this may cause an accident! The camera's ability to distinguish road markings may be limited by external influences. In this case, the system may not distinguish road markings at all or distinguish them incorrectly. Examples of situations in which the camera's ability to distinguish road markings may be limited: poor visibility (fog, rain, heavy snowfall, etc.), driving in a "sharp" turn, the sun glares the camera, the light from oncoming traffic glares the camera, a vehicle moving in front blocks the camera's view, an obstacle limits the camera's view. The system is designed for use on motorways and good highways. The system recognizes both solid and broken markings.

Lane Assist helps the driver to stay in their lane. Using a camera, the system detects lane boundary lines. When the vehicle approaches a detected lane boundary line, the system performs a slight steering correction in the opposite direction from the lane boundary line. This corrective action of the system on the steering can be overridden at any time by turning the steering wheel yourself. If the turn signal for driving in this direction is activated before crossing the lane boundary line, (for example, when turning), when approaching the marking line, corrective steering is not performed. The system evaluates the situation as a deliberate lane change. The system comes into operation under the following conditions: the system is on, the speed is above 65 km/h, the boundary lines are clearly visible (high-quality longitudinal markings), the boundary line is visible on at least one side of the lane, the driver's hands are on the steering wheel, the traffic lane is wider than 2.5 m.

Adaptive Lane Guidance

Helps the driver keep the vehicle between the lane marking lines. If the system only detects one lane marking line, it helps maintain the selected distance to it. If the distance to the lane marking line changes, the system quickly adjusts and starts maintaining the newly selected position. The adaptive lane control function can be activated or deactivated in the Infotainment system.
