The first level of protection is deactivated.
Economy mode
This mode is suitable for a calm driving style. It saves fuel. Selecting this mode primarily affects the following systems.
Engine (drive)
The gas pedal responds more slowly to pressing, acceleration is even less sharp than in Normal mode. After pressing the button, acceleration is slower than in Normal mode. Recommendations for selecting a gear are aimed at minimum fuel consumption. If the START-STOP system was turned off manually, it is automatically turned on again. The automatic transmission is set to mode E. The noise from the engine in this mode is less noticeable than in normal mode.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
With adaptive cruise control on, acceleration is smoother than in normal mode.
Adaptive Lighting (AFS)
The system turns off automatically.
Air conditioning system Ciimatronic
The climate control system is designed for low energy consumption. For this reason, the desired temperature is set later than with the Normal option.
Individual mode
In Individual mode, you can set the Normal, Sport or Economy mode for each system separately.
Operating principle
Preventive security system (next: system) increases driver and front passenger protection in the event of a collision or rollover. The system operates automatically under the following conditions: the ignition is on, the vehicle is moving at a speed of more than 30 km/h. In critical situations (for example, during emergency braking or a sudden change in direction of travel) the following measures can be taken individually or together to reduce the risk of serious injury. When fastened, the front passenger and driver seat belts are automatically tightened to fit more closely to the body, Front door windows (if they were open) automatically close, leaving a gap of approximately S cm from the edge of the glass. The sliding and lifting sunroof closes. As soon as the critical situation is resolved, the tension of the seat belts is released again. The system has 2 levels of protection.

First level of protection
The system is activated already under dynamic driving conditions. This measure serves primarily to keep the driver and front passenger in their seats. The first level of protection can be switched off in one of the following ways: deactivating the function in the Infotainment system, switching off ASR, selecting the Sport driving mode.
Second level of protection
The system intervenes only in situations that are assessed as critical, such as sudden braking at high speed. This level of protection cannot be switched off.
