Rear seat backs
Seat back: unlock/lock
Luggage compartment: folding the rear seat back (Octavia/Combi)
By folding the seat back, you can increase the capacity of the trunk. On vehicles with separate rear seats, the seat backrests can also be folded down individually if necessary.
Folding
Before folding the rear seatbacks, adjust the position of the front seats so that they are not damaged when the rear seatbacks are folded down (1). Press release knob A and fold the seatback fully.
Folding out of the trunk
The rear seatbacks can be detached from the trunk and folded forward. On the right side of the trunk there is a lever for unlocking the right and middle parts of the rear seat backs. On the left side of the trunk is a lever to unlock the left rear seat backrest. Pull the appropriate lever in the direction of the arrow. When unlocking, each of the rear seatbacks can be folded forward.
Return to original position
Hold the rear outer seat belt C near the sidewall upholstery. Then fold the seatback back until lock knob A clicks into place. Check the lock by pulling the seatback forward. Make sure red pin B is completely hidden.
Under no circumstances should the seat belts be pinched by the backrests raised to their original position. On vehicles with a partition net, you must first unlock the left and then the right and middle sections of the backrest (2).
(1) If the front seats are set too far back, we recommend removing the rear headrests before folding the seatbacks. Store the removed head restraints in such a way that they cannot be damaged or soiled,
(2) For vehicles Combi.
