Disconnecting the brake control pedal from the brake booster



Remove the lower cover on the driver's side. Remove the brake light switch.

Important: For clarity, the illustration shows the brake control pedal being disconnected from the brake booster with the pedal mechanism removed.


Press the brake pedal "1" towards the brake booster and hold it in this position. After installing the release tool, pull it towards the driver's seat, while pressing the brake pedal in the opposite direction to this movement. (The pedal must not move back at this point). As a result of this, the retaining tabs "3" of the fastener are pressed away from the ball head of the push rod "2". Pull the release tool together with the brake pedal towards the driver's seat. (As a result of the above, the brake pedal will come off the ball head of the push rod).

While holding the ball head of the push rod "2" in front of the fastening, press the brake pedal "1" towards the brake booster until the ball head enters the locked position with a characteristic sound.

Adjust and install the brake light switch. Remove the lower cover on the driver's side. Check the operation of the brake lights.
