Note.
- The vehicle must be parked on a level, level surface.
- The tailgate lock is fixed inside the tailgate body and is not adjustable.
- The buffers on the right and left side of the tailgate are not designed to adjust the position of the tailgate. Their purpose is stabilization or damping when the door is closed.
- The tailgate is properly adjusted if it has a uniform gap around the perimeter with the opening of the body, is not displaced excessively forward or backward, and closes without applying excessive force.
1. The tailgate can be adjusted relative to the opening in the body, by moving in the canopies, after releasing the bolts of its fastening (3). In this case, it is possible to adjust the door in the horizontal and vertical direction. Tightening torque for tailgate to awning bolts: 10 Nm.
2. After adjusting the tailgate, anti-corrosion coating must be applied to the bolts securing the door to the canopies.
3. Adjust tailgate lock rod (see relevant section in this chapter).
4. Adjust tailgate rubber buffers (see relevant section in this chapter).
