Note:
To achieve correct gearbox adjustment, the following conditions must be met:
- All parts of the gearbox control and gear shift mechanism must be in good working order.
- The switching mechanism should not stick.
- In addition, the gearbox and clutch with drive must be in good condition.
- The gearbox must be in neutral position.
1. Remove the air filter housing if it blocks access to the corner (A) and the locking mechanism of the gear shift and selection cables.

2. Move the locking mechanism for securing the gear shift and gear selection cables forward as far as it will go in the direction of arrow 1 and then lock it by turning it to the left in the direction of arrow 2.

3. Fix the gear selector shaft as follows:
- Press the gear selector rod down towards "arrow 1".
- With the gear selector shaft recessed, turn the bracket (A) upward in the direction of arrow 3. Carefully press it in in the direction of arrow 2 until it locks into place in the gear selector shaft.

4. Remove the gear shift knob with the cover and, if present, the noise-insulating casing.
5. Secure the gear shift lever as follows:
- Set the gear shift lever to the extreme position.
- Insert the retainer "T10027 A" through the hole (A) into the hole (B).

6. Using the driver's seat belt (1), secure the gear shift lever in the extreme left position. Make sure that the gear selection and engagement mechanism is locked with special tool T10027A (A).

7. Turn the locking mechanisms on the cables clockwise to the stop "arrow 1". Under the action of the spring, the locking mechanism returns to its original position "arrow 2".

8. Turn the corner (A) back to its original position "in the direction of arrow 2". In this case, the corner (A) should be pushed out of the gearbox in the "direction of arrow 1".
Note: The corner (A) should be pushed out of the gearbox in the "direction of arrow 1" and turned downwards in the "direction of arrow 2".

9. Remove the retainer from the holes (A) and (B) shown in the figure below.
10. Install, if available, a noise-insulating casing.
11. Secure the gearshift lever cover to the center console trim.
12. Check that the gear selection rod is not jammed.
13. Reinstall the air filter housing assembly if it was removed.
