Removal
Note: The Bowden cable (2) does not disconnect from the hood latch.
1. Open the front hood.
2. Disconnect the Bowden cable (2) located in the cable bushing as shown in the figure below.
3. Disconnect the hood lock switch wiring harness connector.
4. Unscrew the mounting bolts (4) and remove the bonnet lock (1) in the direction of the arrow from the housing element in the engine compartment, as shown in the figure below. Tightening torque of the lock mounting screws during installation: 12 Nm.
Installation
1. Connect end (3) of the Bowden cable (2) to the bonnet lock (arrow a) as shown in the figure below.
2. Install the bonnet lock (1) into the engine compartment cross member (arrow b) as shown in the figure below.
3. Connect the wiring harness connector to the hood lock switch.
4. Install and tighten the bonnet lock mounting bolts (4) to a tightening torque of 12 Nm.
5. Install the Bowden cable (2) into the cable bushing.
6. Adjust the hood lock.
