Attention. After removal, it is always necessary to lay the passenger airbag module with the housing down and the decorative cover up. Never lay the airbag module upside down. Failure to follow this instruction could result in serious injury.
Attention. Do not connect electrified gauges to airbag terminals. Spontaneous operation of the squib is possible and, as a result, serious injury.
Attention. To avoid spontaneous deployment of airbags, it is forbidden to use any memory devices. Failure to follow this instruction could result in serious injury or death.
Note. Repair of elements of the passive safety system is not provided. In case of failure, the damaged element is replaced as an assembly.
Attention. Before starting any work, turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative terminal from the battery, then wait at least 3 minutes.
Attention. Always work from the side of the airbag module, avoid working against the module.
Removing
1. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
2. Remove the glove box from the dashboard assembly (see the relevant section in chapter Body).
3. Disconnect from the airbag module (2) wiring harness connector (4), as shown in the figure below.
4. Unscrew the bolts securing the airbag module (3), shown in the figure below. Mounting torque during installation: 7 Nm.
5. Remove the front airbag module assembly (2), as shown in the figure below.
Installation
1. Installation is made in reverse order to removal.
2. Turn on the ignition.
3. Connect the negative terminal to the battery.
Attention. When connecting the terminal to the battery in cars should not be anyone.
Note. If the control indicator K75 lights up, then the error must be cleared in the memory.
