Attention.
- Always after an accident, it is necessary to perform a complete technical check of the following elements of the passive safety system.
- Inertia seat belt tensioners.
- Seat belt locks (buckles).
- Seat belt tension sensor (if the car is equipped).
- Front seat belt buckle support.
- Seat belt height adjuster.
- Child seat mounting bracket.
- Automatic belt tensioner lock when installing a child seat.
- If any faults or malfunctions in the operation of the seat belts and their components are detected, the entire seat belt system must be replaced. Failure to comply with these instructions may result in serious consequences in the event of an accident.
- After an accident in which the automatic seat belt pretensioners are activated, the pretensioners as an assembly must be replaced.
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery and wait at least one minute before performing any work.
2. Remove the body center pillar trim panels (for more details, see the relevant section in the Body chapter).
3. Disconnect the outer door seals.
4. Unscrew the mounting bolt (1) and disconnect the upper seat belt guide (2) from the height adjuster on the B-pillar, as shown in the figure below. Tightening torque of the mounting bolt during installation: 40 Nm.

5. Pull the seat belt guide (1) upwards out of the pillar (2) as shown in the figure below.
6. Pull the seat belt (3) through the guide (1).
Attention. It is necessary to install the guide (1) into the rack until the lock (2) clicks into place.

Warning: Electrostatic voltage can cause the seat belt pretensioner to operate unintentionally. Therefore, to avoid injury and to avoid replacing the pretensioner, the mechanic must touch the vehicle body before starting work.
7. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the automatic seat belt pretensioner.
8. Unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the automatic seat belt tensioner from the central pillar of the body (2). as shown in the figure below. Tightening torque of the tensioner mounting bolt during installation: 40 Nm.

9. Unscrew the lower bolt (1) of the anchor mount (2), then disconnect from the body and remove the front seat belt, as shown in the figure below.

Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
2. Connect the negative terminal to the battery.
