Note.
- Necessary devices, special control and measuring devices, as well as auxiliary means:
- - A container for collecting engine oil.
- - Clamp pliers.
Removing
1. Drain the coolant for more details, see the relevant section in the chapter Cooling system.
2. Release the spring clip (2), using special hose pliers, disconnect the coolant hose (1), shown in the figure below.
3. Unscrew the four fixing screws of the oil cooler, remove the oil cooler as shown in the figure below.
Installation
Note. A damaged seal must be replaced.
1. Install oil cooler (2) into the mounting bracket, tighten the mounting screws crosswise with a torque of 8 Nm + turn them an additional 90° (¼ turn), as shown in the figure below.
2. Pushing on the coolant hose (1) on the connecting pipe of the oil cooler, attach it with a spring clamp (2), as shown in the figure below.
3. After filling the cooling system, remove air from it.
4. Check the coolant level in the expansion tank and, if necessary, add coolant.
Note. If the oil cooler is replaced, the coolant must be changed.
