Drain
1. Place a catch basin under the gearbox.
2. Unscrew the ATF fluid inspection screw (A).
Caution: Wear protective glasses.
3. Disconnect the bypass pipe (C) (5mm Allen key), leave to drain the ATF fluid.
4. Install the bypass pipe (C) using a 5 mm Allen wrench and tighten to the specified torque.

Refueling
1. Screw in the quick-release coupling (VAS 6262/2) instead of the gearbox inspection screw plug (arrow 1), attach the oil filling adapter (VAS 6262).

2. Pour in 4 liters of ATF fluid.
3. Remove the oil filling adapter (VAS 62620) from the quick-release coupling (VAS 6262/2).
4. Disconnect the quick-release coupling (VAS 6262/2).

5. Tighten the ATF fluid check plug by hand.
6. Start the engine.
7. Engage with the brake pedal depressed and at idle gradually all positions of the "P", "R", "N", "D", "S", and each of the positions must be included for at least 10 s.
8. Move the preselector lever to position "P".
9. Turn off the ignition.
10. Check the ATF fluid level and, if necessary, top up with ATF fluid.
