General information
Fine adjustment of the direction of the optical axis of the headlights can be made only with the use of special optical equipment in a service station.
Approximate installation of the headlights can be made using the adjustment assemblies installed on the top of each of the headlight units. The outer wheel serves to adjust the position of the block headlight in the vertical plane, the inner one - in the horizontal plane.
Note. Make sure the knob is set to 0 before making adjustments.
Replacing the regulator mechanism
1. The hydraulic corrector for the direction of the optical axis of the headlights consists of two regulators (one for each headlight), connected to the main mechanism by means of hoses. Note that all assembly components (regulators, mechanism and hoses) must be sealed together. In case of failure, the hydraulic mechanism must be replaced (see below).
2. Remove the instrument panel (see Section Removal and installation of the instrument panel).
3. Gently prying, remove the hydraulic corrector control switch handle assembly.
4. Loosen the mounting screws a couple of turns, then slightly turn the mechanism counterclockwise and push it inside the instrument panel.
5. In the engine compartment, look for the controls on the back of the headlight assemblies. To disconnect the adjuster from the headlight, turn it counterclockwise and carefully release the spherical joint from the headlight reflector.
6. Moving along the hoses, release them from all intermediate clamps (try to remember the routing of the hoses).
7. Release the rubber bushing of the hydraulic corrector installation from the bulkhead of the engine compartment and remove the corrector assembly from the vehicle.
8. When installing, fill the assembly into the hole in the bulkhead of the engine compartment and correctly place it in the instrument panel. Tighten the fixing screws firmly, then reinstall the handle.
9. Fit the rubber grommet into the bulkhead, route the hoses correctly and secure them in all provided intermediate clamps.
10. Firmly snap the spherical joints of the adjusters into the reflectors, then firmly fix the adjusters into the headlamps.
11. Replace the instrument panel (see Section Removal and installation of the instrument panel).
12. Check the correct functioning of the hydraulic corrector, if necessary, adjust the direction of the optical axes of the headlights.
