Throttle position control pedal chamber I (gas pedal) together with the brake and clutch pedals, is secured to the pedal bracket in the driver's footwell. The pedal is connected to the throttle valve by a steel cable with a diameter of 1.6 mm and a length of 750 mm, enclosed in a flexible sheath. In order to reduce friction, the cable sheath has a synthetic coating on the inside. Near the carburetor, the end of the cable is tucked into the retainer on the throttle drive lever. The method of attaching the cable sheath to the bracket secured to the carburetor body allows you to adjust the gap in the throttle drive mechanism. The cable is attached to the pedal using a plastic tip.
The gas pedal travel is limited by a stop screwed to the floor of the passenger compartment.
