Mounting the steering mechanism on the car (with amplifier)
1 - bolts; 2 - heat-insulating screen; 3 - fork cardan joint; 4 - coupling bolt; 5 - gasket; 6 – the gauge of the amplifier of a steering; 7 – a bolt of fastening of the gauge of the amplifier of a steering; 8 - nut; 9 - rotary lever; 10 – a tip of steering draft assembled with a spherical hinge; 11 - locknut; 12 - return line; 13, 15 - sealing rings; 14 - hollow bolt; 16 - pressure line; 17 – bolts of fastening of a beam of a forward suspension bracket; 18 – bolts of fastening of the steering mechanism; 19 – bolts of fastening of a back support of the power unit; 20 - rear support of the power unit; 21 – front suspension beam; 22 - steering gear
1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «-» battery. Parts of car battery holder (bigger size) closes the receiver cover. In this case, remove the battery and its holder (see subsection 10.2).
2. Set the steering wheel to a position corresponding to the rectilinear movement of the car. It is recommended to fix the steering wheel, e.g. with adhesive tape 2 (see fig. V clause 1 of subsection 8.4.2).
Attention! During repairs, do not turn the steering wheel, as the airbag mechanism may fail.
3. Loosen the two plastic nuts 1 (see fig. Fastening of a casing of a cardan shaft of a steering column) fastening the casing of the cardan shaft of the steering column and remove the casing 2.
4. Loosen pinch bolt 4 (see fig. Fastening of a shaft of a steering column to a shaft of a driving gear wheel of the steering mechanism) cardan yokes.
5. Remove upwards the fork 2 of the cardan joint from the shaft 1 of the drive gear of the steering mechanism.
6. Remove the air filter if necessary (see subsection 4.1).
7. 7. Remove wire 2 (see fig. Elements of the hydraulic power steering) power steering sensor of three holders 4.
8. Remove the mudguard and front wheels.
9. On models with a silencer downpipe under the front suspension beam, remove the downpipe with the converter.
10. Disconnect the rear support 20 (see fig. Mounting the steering mechanism on the car (with amplifier)) from the gearbox by unscrewing the two mounting bolts 19.
11. Loosen one nut 1 (see fig. Attaching the rack to the bar of the stabilizer bar) fasteners and disconnect the rack 3 from the bar 2 of the stabilizer on both sides of the suspension.
12. Disconnect both tie rod ends from the pivot arms (see subsection 8.5.1).
13. Unscrew cover 9 (see fig. Elements of the hydraulic power steering) receiver and through the filler neck, use a rubber pear to remove the working fluid from the receiver.
14. Place a container under the steering gear to collect the fluid that will flow from it when removed.
15. Place a secure support under the front suspension beam.
16. Remove bolts 18 (see fig. Mounting the steering mechanism on the car (with amplifier)) fastening the steering mechanism to the beam 21 of the front suspension.
17. Lower the front suspension beam (see subsection 7.2.5) approximately 40 mm without damaging the sensor wire and power steering lines.
18. Unscrew the hollow bolt 14 of the fastening and disconnect from the crankcase of the steering mechanism, first the pressure line 16, then the return line 12, unscrewing the nut of its fastening. Muffle openings of highways and in a case of the steering mechanism.
19. Turn away two bolts 7 fastenings with internal hexagons and disconnect the gauge 6 of the amplifier of management from the steering mechanism.
20. Carefully lower beam 21 of the front suspension.
21. Remove the steering gear by moving it towards the rear of the vehicle.
