1. For ease of operation, remove the front buffer.

2.Unscrew cover 9 (see figureHydraulic power steering components) receiver and through the filler neck, remove the working fluid from the receiver using a rubber bulb.

3. Remove the front wheels.

4. Remove the front left wheel arch liner.

5. Remove the return line 3 from the three holders 4.

6.Press the spring latch and open the holder 1 (see figureRemoval the wire and lines from the holder). Remove the pressure 3 and return 2 lines from it.

7.Loosen clamp 5 with pliers (see figureConnecting the main lines to the pumping unit) and carefully disconnect the return line 4 from the pump unit nipple.

8. Unscrew the fastening nut 2 and disconnect the pressure line 3 from the pump unit.

9. Plug the nipple and threaded hole of the pump unit.

10. Disconnect the rear support 10 (see figure Mounting the steering gear on a car (without amplifier)) the power unit from the gearbox by unscrewing the two mounting bolts 9 (the bolts need to be replaced with new ones).

11. Lower the front suspension beam (see subsection 7.2.5) by approximately 40 mm. Be careful not to damage the power steering sensor wire (for reliability, the sensor wire can be disconnected from the pump unit).

12. Unscrew the hollow bolt 14 (see figure Mounting the steering gear on a car (with amplifier)) fastenings and disconnect from the steering gear housing first the pressure line 16, and then the return line 12, by unscrewing the nut of its fastening. Seal the holes in the steering gear housing, for example, with plastic plugs.

13. Remove the highways.

14. Install the pressure and return lines in reverse order, using new sealing rings 13 and 15. Please note that the return line 12 has a round seal 13.

Caution! The lines must not be bent too much (bending diameter not less than 100 mm).

15. After installation, top up the working fluid and bleed the hydraulic system of the power steering (see subsection 8.5.10).

16. Check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment angles.
