Caution! Fill the hydraulic power steering system only when the engine is cold.

Caution! Do not reuse the fluid from the system: it is contaminated and saturated with air and moisture.

Caution! Use only fluids recommended by the manufacturer.

1. Disconnect the wire from the "-" terminal of the battery. On some cars there is a battery holder (larger size) closes the receiver cover. In this case, you need to remove the battery and its holder (see subsection 10.2).

2. If necessary, remove the air filter (see subsection 4.1).

3. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely.

4. Unscrew the reservoir cap and fill it with working fluid up to mark A (see figure Receiver cap with liquid level indicator).

5. Connect the wire to the "-" terminal of the battery (if the battery is removed, connect it using auxiliary wires) and install the removed air filter.

6. Set the wheels to the position corresponding to the straight-ahead movement of the vehicle and unscrew the receiver cover.

7. Turn the steering wheel ten times from one extreme position to the other.

Caution! Do not hold the steering wheel in the extreme position for more than 10 seconds.

8. Check the fluid level in the receiver and, if necessary, add fluid to mark A.

9. Loosely screw on the receiver cap. Do not tighten it too tightly under any circumstances.

10. Start the engine, let it run for 10 seconds and stop it.

11. Check the fluid level in the receiver and, if necessary, add fluid to mark A.

12. Repeating the three previous operations, ensure that the fluid level in the receiver stops decreasing and stops at mark A.

13. Start the engine, turn the steering wheel ten times from one extreme position to the other and stop the engine.

14. Check the fluid level in the receiver and, if necessary, add fluid up to the A mark. Tighten the receiver cap tightly.

15. Install the battery and air filter if removed.
