Removal
1. Loosen the connecting nuts and remove the high-pressure fuel line between the fuel rail and the high-pressure fuel pump.
2. Open and disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) from the fuel temperature sensor as shown in the figure below.

3. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (2) from the fuel pressure regulator as shown in the figure below.

4. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (arrow) from the fuel pressure sensor as shown in the figure below.

5. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) from the aftercooler charge air temperature sensor.

6. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (3) from the water pump as shown in the figure below.

7. Remove the thermal insulation cover (1) shown in the figure below.
8. Open and disconnect the wiring harness connectors (3) and (6) as shown in the figure below.
9. If installed, disconnect the wiring harness connectors (4) and (5).
10. Set the wiring harness aside.

11. Unscrew the mounting bolts (arrows) and move the fuel lines to the side.
12. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (2) from the Hall sensor.

13. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors (arrows) from the fuel injectors.

14. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the glow plugs.

15. Remove the fuel return hose (1) shown in the figure below.
16. Open the fasteners (arrows), disconnect and remove the wiring harness guide channel.

17. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors:
- From the fuel pressure sensor (1).
- From the fuel pressure regulator (3).
18. Loosen the fastening clamp (4) and disconnect the return fuel hose.
19. Unscrew the connecting nuts (2) of the high-pressure fuel pipes.
20. Disconnect the high pressure fuel line and wrap it with a clean rag.
21. Unscrew the mounting bolts (arrows) and remove the fuel rail assembly, as shown in the figure below.

Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
