Removal
1. Turn off the ignition.
If the fuel filter is removed to gain more space
2. Unlock the quick connectors and disconnect the fuel hoses (1) and (2) shown in the figure below.
3. Release the fuel hoses (1) and (2) from the holder (arrow) on the coolant expansion tank (3), as shown in the figure below.

4. Unscrew the mounting bolts (2) shown in the figure below.

5. Open the holder (arrow) and pull out the fuel hoses (1) shown in the figure below.

6. For models with a fuel filter water level sensor: Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the fuel filter water level sensor (1) as shown in the figure below.
7. Move the fuel filter assembly to the side.

If the fuel filter is removed for disassembly purposes
8. Unscrew the fastening screws (1...5) (arrows) in the sequence shown in the figure below.
9. Collect all leaking fuel in a pre-prepared container.
10. Remove the upper part (1) from the fuel filter housing (2) as shown in the figure below.
11. Set the top of the fuel filter aside without disconnecting the fuel hoses from it.

If the fuel filter needs to be replaced
12. Disconnect the fuel hoses (3), (4) and (5) as shown in the figure below. To do this, you must first loosen the fuel hose clamps using pliers.
13. Unscrew the fastening screws (2) shown in the figure below.
14. Unscrew the fastening nut (1) shown in the figure below.

15. For models with a fuel filter water level sensor: Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the fuel filter water level sensor (1) as shown in the figure below.
16. Remove the fuel filter assembly.
17. Collect all leaking fuel in a pre-prepared container.

Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
