Removal
1. Remove the upper decorative engine cover.
2. Release the wiring harness connector from its holder, then disconnect it and release the wiring from the clamps as shown in the figure below.
3. Set the wiring harness aside.
4. Release the fastening clamp (1) shown in the figure below.
5. Unscrew the lambda probe (3) using a special head from the exhaust manifold, as shown in the figure below.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note:
- New oxygen excess sensors are supplied lubricated with a special assembly paste. This paste should not get into the slots for installing the oxygen excess sensor. If the sensor is reused, it is necessary to apply heat-resistant paste to the threaded part of the excess oxygen sensor before installation.
- After connecting the wiring harness connectors to the oxygen sensors, the wiring harnesses must be reconnected to their original positions.
