Caution! When reusing the gas-filled shock absorber, the clamp must not be completely removed from the spherical bearing of the gas-filled shock absorber, otherwise it could be damaged.
Disassembling a gas-filled shock absorber
1 – mounting bracket with ball joint;
2 – mounting clamp;
3 – gas-filled shock absorber
1. Open the trunk lid and support it.
2. Using a screwdriver, lift the mounting clamp 2 and remove the gas-filled shock absorber from the ball joint of the mounting bracket.
