An excellent addition to the car is a sliding and folding sunroof. The hatch consists of two parts. The upper part is hinged, glass, with a raster, specially treated against the penetration of ultraviolet radiation. Under it is a sliding part. It is opaque, made of plastic in the color of the car. The roof hatch can either be fully opened by pushing both parts, or only the opaque lower part can be moved, and the glass part can be gently folded back up. Roof mechanisms are driven by an electric motor (12 V, max, current 28 A) – (see fig. Sliding and tilting sunroof I). The equipment has limit switches that turn off the engine in the extreme positions of the movable elements of the hatch. The connection to the car's electrical wiring is solved using a six-pole connector. The control is concentrated in the switch located in the frame of the ceiling light housing, which, in the case of installing a roof hatch, is fixed in the lower casing of the mechanism with an electric motor (maintenance manual is given in the SERVICE BOOK). When opening the sliding part of the hatch, in case of rain, remove water from the grooves of the circuit. This is solved by four hoses in the corners of the roof frame. Valves are inserted in all outflows, the check valves of which prevent accidental suction of water (due to air pressure while driving) back (see fig. Sliding and tilting sunroof II).
The movable parts of the hatch are sealed in the frames and between each other with rubber profiles. A schematic representation is shown in fig. The electric drive of the sliding and folding roof hatch and the outflow of water from the space of the folding and sliding roof hatch.
In the event of a power failure in an emergency, the sunroof can be manually operated. Removing the bottom cover under the electric motor (in the front of the car ceiling), it is necessary to remove the steel hexagon handle from the holder, insert it into the hole in the motor shaft and turn it.
