Since the installation of these parts began in 1997, cars manufactured in 1996 are not yet equipped with a rear window wiper and washer. The trunk lid wiper is located on the left side of the lid. The wiper motor is attached to the inner sheet of the lid with three bolts passing through rubber inserts that reduce noise by absorbing engine vibration. The drive element of the shaft is sealed in the surface sheet of the lid with a rubber bushing. The wiper stroke is controlled by electronics that provide a dual wiper function. A momentary press of the control lever on the right half of the combined switch under the steering wheel turns on the wiper with a delay of 6 seconds between brush oscillations. The next momentary press of the lever turns off the brush. The second function is activated by a longer press of the already mentioned lever. In this case, the function is activated consisting of turning on the washer and then the wiper. When the switch is pressed once, the brush produces three oscillations. The electrical wiring is connected by a four-pole connector located on the motor housing.

The windshield wiper is equipped with an automatic return to the initial position, as well as a fuse that switches off the electric motor when the brush is blocked (for example, the brush is frozen to the glass, etc.). The roller on which the brush is fixed is hollow and has terminals in the upper and lower parts for attaching the windshield washer hoses. A tip with a terminal turned 90° relative to the roller is screwed into the lower part. The terminal has a nozzle preventing the hose from slipping off. The terminal at the upper end of the roller has a nozzle on which the hose tip is fixed. Liquid flows through the hose to the nozzles located on the brush. The connection is closed by a hinged brush cover.
