Exhaust manifold (cast iron) — general information (Skoda Octavia 1U)
It is attached to the cylinder head on the front side (in the direction of movement). It is placed on screwed-in studs and tightened with self-locking nuts with a copper-plated surface. A metal-plastic seal is inserted between the manifold and the supporting surface of the cylinder head. Four branches of the manifold are connected in front of the lower mounting flange in two holes. Four studs are screwed into the flange for seating and fastening the front part of the exhaust.
