Remove the battery. Remove the air filter. Remove the battery bracket. For cars with a radio with coding, check for the code, request it if necessary. Remove the suction pipe connecting hose. Place a sufficient amount of lint-free rags in the engine and gearbox area.

Using a suction device, pump out as much brake fluid as possible from the reservoir.

In case of a vehicle with a manual transmission
Disconnect the return hose "B" of the clutch master cylinder from the hydraulic brake reservoir and secure it a little higher.

Further for all cars
If equipped, disconnect connector "1" from brake light switch "F", connector -2 from vacuum sensor "G608" and connector "3" from brake fluid warning sensor "F34". Disconnect the wiring harness from the brake master cylinder.

Unscrew screw "1". Pull the hydraulic brake fluid reservoir "2" out of the plugs.

Mark the brake pipes "1". Disconnect the brake pipes "1" from the brake master cylinder, plug the brake pipes with plugs from the repair kit "1NO 698 311 A". Unscrew the nuts "2" from the brake master cylinder. If present, remove the protective cover. Carefully remove the brake master cylinder from the brake booster.

Installation
Installation is in reverse order. When installing, pay special attention to the following:
Note: When disconnecting and connecting the battery ground wire, additional work must be performed.
When assembling the master brake cylinder with the brake booster, pay attention to the correct position of the pushrod in the master brake cylinder. Bleed air from the brake system.
